This week’s OOH LA LA! Is: all the shadows I loved in June
I am fascinated by shadows. I love the transient nature of a shadow, the temporary mark that appears on any surface and then vanishes completely, without warning.
The dance between light and shape and air and space is intriguing! A shadow is an invitation to the present moment as it arrives here and only here, right now, and never again the same. Blink and you might miss it!
A shadow is bold and yet gentle, playful and mysterious, dark and light. I love the paradox of it all, but mostly the beauty, the pleasure, the delight of witnessing (and capturing) a passing moment in time when the universe blessed me with a wonderful shadow.
Here are all the shadows from my camera roll in June.
P.S. Shadow is quite a funny word if you write it many times, as I did here. I guess maybe all words look funny after a while.
